We’re Coming to
the Farmers Market
For the first time we are bringing Mad Horse Meats off the farm and out to the community. Starting May 1 we will be at three South Jersey farmers markets this spring — and we would love to see you there.
We have been selling online and at the farmstand since we started, and we love that model. But there is something about a farmers market that an online store simply cannot replicate — the chance to actually meet the people who raised your food, ask questions, see what we are working with, and take something home the same day. We have been wanting to do this for a while. This spring we are finally doing it.
All three markets are coordinated by South Jersey Preservation and run from 5 to 8pm — a perfect after-work stop. The Elmer market is on a Friday evening and the Woodstown and Pennsville markets are on Thursday evenings. We will have pasture-raised beef, pasture-raised lamb, pasture-raised chicken, farm-fresh eggs, and raw wildflower honey at each market. Everything raised right here in Hancocks Bridge.
You can also order online at madhorsemeats.com ahead of the market and pick up your order at our booth — no minimum purchase and no shipping charges. It is a great way to make sure we have exactly what you want waiting for you.

What We’re Bringing
- Pasture-raised Hereford-Angus beef — steaks, roasts, ground beef and more
- Pasture-raised Cheviot-cross lamb — chops, leg, rack, and artisan sausage
- Pasture-raised chicken — whole birds, parts, and specialty cuts
- Farm-fresh eggs from our own hens
- Raw wildflower honey from our own hives
“Everything at our booth was raised on the same 250 acres in Hancocks Bridge. Two veterinarians, two border collies, 85 acres of rotating pasture. You can ask us anything about how it was raised — we will be right there.”
Why This Matters to Us
We built Mad Horse Meats around direct-to-consumer sales because we believe the relationship between the people who raise food and the people who eat it matters. When you buy from us online you are taking our word for how we raise our animals. When you come to the farmers market you can meet us, ask questions, and decide for yourself. That transparency is something we take seriously.
These three markets are a starting point. We are excited to be part of the South Jersey Preservation farmers market family and to connect with more of our neighbors across Salem County and the surrounding area. Come find us this spring.
All three markets run Thursdays from 5 to 8pm. No pre-order required — just show up. If you want to make sure we have a specific cut available, reach out ahead of time at madhorsemeats.com and we will do our best to bring it.
